Water level regulation with static sensors

In 1983 already, TUNZE® Aquarientechnik introduced one of the first water level regulators to aquarism. Today’s generation of Osmolator contains a static and compact sensor with infrared technology, achieving an osmotic stability in fresh-water and marine aquariums through a precise, regular and safe compensation of the evaporated water. The Osmolator 3155 comprises a controller, two sensors, two magnet holders for sensors and numerous accessories. It is suitable for use in cabinet filter plants, in Comline filters or directly on the edge of the aquarium.

An infra-red operated mini sensor recognises the water level precisely.

A second safety sensor permits a reliable functional control.

The 5017 protects the metering pump against running dry or reports an empty storage tank.

The 5017 displays all functions optically and sounds a signal in case of failures.

The Osmolator is operated on 11 V safety extra-low voltage.

The switched socket outlet can be used to switch metering pumps with 230 V (115 V), max. 1,800 W (900 W), such as Turbelle® e-jet 805, 1205, Silence 1073.02, 1073.04 or a hose metering pump.

Calcium Dispenser

The addition of lime water is another method to increase the calcium in marine aquariums. The calcium hydroxide is dissolved in a separate chamber by means of the water jet of the metering pump included with the Osmolator. The calcium dispenser is fitted between the metering pump and the feed hose supplying the kalkwasser to the aquarium in small volumes in regular intervals. The calcium dispenser can be fitted in any water storage tank and should be topped up with calcium hydroxide every one to two weeks. The calcium dispenser and the calcium reactor can be combined well with each other. An especially well set pH stability is achieved during the day as well as at night. Delivery condition: Reactor, calcium hydroxide fill, holding device and connections to Osmolator, suitable for hard coral aquariums of up to approx. 1,000 l (264.1 USgal.). Dimensions: 350 x 140 mm (13.7 x 5.5 in.).
