Reverse osmosis is a natural and environmentally friendly process used to remove dissolved salts and impurities safely from the water by physical methods only.
Nano RO station (8515.000)
30 to 60 litres/day (7.9 to 15.8 USgal.) at 3 to 6 bar (43 to 87 PSI) and 15 deg. to 25 deg. Celsius (59 deg. to 77 deg. F).
TUNZE® Nano RO Station 8515 is a compact high-quality reverse osmosis plant employed for the easy production of pure water (RO water) to be used for irons, preparation of ice cubes, bubble humidifiers, car batteries, et cetera. In aquarism, it is especially suitable for small and medium-sized marine and fresh-water aquariums. It is very easy to operate and can be connected directly to a water tap using the accessories supplied by the manufacturer.
100 to 200 litres/day (26 to 52.8 USgal.) at 3 to 6 bar (43 to 87 PSI) and 15 deg. to 25 deg. Celsius (59 deg. to 77 deg. F).
TUNZE® RO Station 8550 is a high-quality reverse osmosis unit used to produce pure water. In aquarism it is especially suitable for marine and fresh-water aquariums. RO Station 8550 consists of a 20 µm sediment filter, a 5 µm sediment filter, a 1 µm carbon sediment filter, and a TFC membrane (polysulfone compound). The average retention rate is 98 per cent, whereby the share of pure water amounts to 20 - 25 per cent of the processed water.
This additional filter can be fitted to the outgoing water outlet of the RO Station as a water hardener or silicate filter. The cylinder includes two screw caps with plug-type connectors for the hose of the osmosis plant and two brackets for a direct attachment on the RO Station. In particular, we recommend the use as silicate filter at the out-going water outlet in order to remove the silicic acid. Thus, the growth of diatoms and mucous algae can be avoided in the aquarium. A mixed-bed ion exchange resin with colour change is used as a refill medium (article No. 8550.501).
In order to increase the calcium content of the out-going RO water, the mixed-bed ion exchanger granulate can be replaced by the calcium carbonate granulate (article No. 880.901). The out-going RO water takes up high quantities of calcium hydrogen carbonate. In the process, the hardness of the out-going RO water is increased, i.e. the carbonate hardness is increased.

RO TDS Monitor (8533.000)
RO TDS Monitor 8533 is used for the precise determination of the water quality of reverse osmosis units. It continuously measures the conductivity in ppm at the water inlet / water outlet of the reverse osmosis plants and renders information on the necessity of a filter or membrane change.
TTUNZE® RO Water Controller 8555 is an automatic water level controller used in the pure-water container of TUNZE® RO station. The controller is also suitable for other water tanks or can be connected to an automatic refill system. It consists of a controller, two sensors, a water valve and an 11 V power supply unit. Depending on the demand, the water valve can be replaced by switched socket outlet 3150.11 for mains operation.
If the position of the sensors of the RO water controller is reversed, the switched socket outlet 3150.11 and a pump can be used to empty a water tank, and thus it can also be used for automatic filling or emptying of tanks. By means of a combination of two units, a water changing system can be built.
In the Osmolator®, the enclosed low-voltage centrifugal pump can be replaced by this switched socket outlet in combination with a more powerful pump. The switched socket outlet can be used to switch metering pumps with 230 V (115 V), max. 1,800 W (900 W), such as Turbelle® e-jet 805, 1205, Silence 1073.02, 1073.04 or a hose metering pump.
