Replacing Turbelle electronic by Turbelle stream

Replacing Turbelle electronic by Turbelle stream

Question asked by Mr Koch / Germany

I am interested in the new Turbelle stream. At the moment I am operating two Turbelle electronic 7400/2 with Controller 7094, which I would like to replace by two Turbelle stream 6100 pumps with 12,000 l/h (3,170 US gal./h) in order to be able to use the tidal current simulation of the controller. How is the noise development compared to the pumps of the 7400 series ? Do I need any adapters or converters for the controller ?

Of course you can continue to operate your present pumps: Turbelle electronic 7400/2 pumps produce a high flow rate which is ideal for the upper zones of the tank (high-energy waves). In the middle section, the “stream” can be installed on the same rail as the 7400/2, and it can be connected to the same channel of the multi-controller. In this set-up it produces a wave front with high energy and a flow rate at the surface with a high water volume as well as a somewhat softer middle section: the ideal flow with a very low consumption of power.
Of course, you can also use Turbelle stream pumps only, and do not need a converter or adaptor unit as the electronics are the same for Turbelle stream and Turbelle electronic.
The stream pump produces hardly any noise as the unit does not generate a high pressure. The hydro propeller (gyro system) has a lot of space in the pump case and produces no mechanical noises. If your 7400/2 is too loud, please try the noise-suppressing holder 3060.46.
