Bubbles escape from my glass pane cleaner !

Bubbles escape from my glass pane cleaner !

Enquiry from Mr. Glaser / Germany

Some days ago I bought a power magnetic pane cleaner 220.55. I am very satisfied with the cleansing effect but the declaration "corrosion-free safety encapsulation" surely does not apply for my cleaner. When I place it in the basin clearly visible bubbles escape from the plastic cladding, on removing it some ml water flow out ! What should I do ? Should I have it replaced by the dealer or direct by you ?

Answer

The air bubbles are produced in the hollow between the plastic case and the resin encapsulation. On submerging it in water the hollow is filled with water, the air escapes as air bubbles. When the Power Magnet is removed from the water the penetrated water flows out of the plastic case once more but without any risk for the biotope.
The magnets are encapsulated in resin absolutely watertight.
