Outlets and noises

Outlets and noises

Enquiry from Mr. Gruber / Germany

My present outlet makes a terrible noise. Can I modify the outlet now with one of your outlets ? In my case the pipes run through the basin floor to the basement direct. Does the system automatically start inlet suction when the pup is switched off, e.g. on electricity mains failure ? Is it immaterial how much water is pumped up or is a constant current needed in order to operate it quietly ? It would be great if you could answer my many questions.

Answer

Our outlets are very quiet but some premises must be satisfied:
- in order to attenuate all pipe noises we suggest operation with our drain pipe set
- a certain output must not be exceeded, i.e. 900 to 1000 l/r for the outlet 1074 (without glass opening) and 1500 l/hr for the outlets 1076/2 and 1077.
- at a higher flow two or more outlets must be installed.

You ask whether the system automatically starts inlet suction on switching off the pump, e.g. in the event of an electricity mains failure, yes of course ! The outlets allow only the same water volume to flow off as was pumped into the basin. In order to operate the outlet quietly, no constant water flow is needed but it should be in the range 500 to 1000 l/hr for the 1074 and 0 to 1500 l/hr for the two 1076/2 and 1077.
